To be fair, there are two major shopping destinations in Marbella: the La Cañada mall and the El Corte Inglés department store. Both are equally outstanding if you are looking for inspiring fashion, cosmetics, electronic gadgets, gourmet food and so much more, but in this article, we’ll focus on the pleasures and diversions offered at Marbella’s favoured shopping centre.
The first great advantage of La Cañada is the fact that it is so accessible, situated as it is just off the motorway bypassing the northern side of town. This means that it is within five to twenty minutes from most points in Marbella, Estepona and Benahavis, the so-called ‘Golden Triangle’ of towns it serves.
Another advantage is the abundant free parking, both outdoors and in a pleasant underground carpark with direct access to the mall. Here you will find a large Al Campo supermarket, complete with white goods section, all the main fashion brand outlets and perfumery stores, as well as shops selling shoes, handbags, accessories, jewellery, electronic gadgetry, decoration and much more.
There’s even an Apple Store, not to mention a cinema and lots of places to enjoy different types of food, while next door you can pop into Norauto and have your tyres changed or car serviced while looking for DIY ideas at Leroy Merlin or shopping for sports gear and visiting the Worten store for the latest audio and computer gadgets.
It would be hard to imagine Marbella without its favourite shopping mall!
